Tina Maczis, LCPC, LGPAT, ATR-BC

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), as well as a licensed and nationally registered board certified art therapist (LGPAT, ATR-BC). I deeply believe in the therapeutic relationship and its process as a medium for change, and enjoy working with adolescents and adults alike.

I have had the opportunity to work with individuals since 2012 and take a collaborative, curious, direct, and compassionate approach. I value hearing and helping individuals to understand themselves, their needs, and any current distress in their life while exploring avenues for change and healing together. In our work, I will take a trauma-informed, humanistic approach with the use of evidence based practices of CBT, DBT, ACT, UT, and a relational frame, to tailor and ground your therapeutic journey. I employ both talk and art therapy sessions at an individual’s discretion and need.

I specialize in eating disorders, body image, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, and have a variety of experience with general mental health and co-occurring diagnoses. My most recent work is within the field of eating disorders, working as both a therapist and a clinical team lead at a center for higher level of care support (PHP and IOP). I have experience in working with families and groups, and find one’s support systems to be an important component of understanding them as a whole.
